Workforce Development
CSP’s workforce development component aims to improve employment outcomes for Lebanese nationals by enhancing access to quality technical and vocational education and training (TVET). Under this component, CSP is providing scholarship and internship opportunities to job seekers and working with private TVET partners to improve their curricula, associated training equipment, and job placement infrastructure and services.
CSP’s Labor Market Assessment (LMA), conducted from October – December 2019, identified three promising sectors for growth and employment opportunities in Lebanon:
- Home-based health care
- Industrial repair and maintenance
- Information technology
CSP is developing and implementing context-specific curricula relevant to these sectors in private TVET institutes and establishing linkages between the partners and the private sector to facilitate internship and employment opportunities for students and graduates.
