Within its objective to support underserved and vulnerable communities, the Community Support Program (CSP) in Lebanon, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provided the Tanbourit Olive Farmers’ Cooperative with eight mechanical harvesting machines to serve approximately 54 households (270 beneficiaries), improving the efficiency and decreasing the cost of producing olive oil. The machines will also help decrease tensions among the farmers as they will no longer need to compete to use scarce equipment.
