CSP Launches 3rd Cohort of Full Stack Web Development Vocational Course at St Elie Technical Institute
In December 2022, USAID’s Community Support Program (CSP) conducted an orientation session at St. Elie Technical Institute in Tripoli to launch a third cohort of the Full Stack Web Development vocational training course being implemented by CSP’s expert grantee, CODI. All 42 students are benefitting from CSP’s Jobs, Education, and Training (JET) scholarship program which covers their tuition and provides them with a monthly stipend covering their transportation fees, a laptop as a study aid, and medical insurance for the duration of the three-month course and subsequent internship. In turn, students are expected to complete their studies and mandatory internship, in addition to attending soft skills modules to enhance their chances at finding quality employment. This represents the fourth Full Stack Web Development course offered by CSP in collaboration with CODI, overall benefitting a total of 96 students. Out of those 96 students, 54 completed the course and among them, 35 were placed in full time employment.
“By including English and soft skills in addition to the technical material, I am learning about the importance of communication, networking and presentational skills towards my professional development,” stated Tareq Mahamas El Ali, JET scholarship recipient undertaking the Full Stack Web Development course at St Elie.
