USAID-Funded Community Support Program Initiates the Transfer of USAID-Developed Training Materials to The Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) E- Library

In its efforts to ensure the sustainability of USAID-provided resources, USAID’s Community Support Program (CSP) is hosting on its website a Knowledge Management Portal(KMP) that includes a rich library and a wide range of municipal and civil society organizations training materials originally developed by USAID’s seven-year BALADI CAP project and later enriched and sustained through the technical assistance component of the Community Support Program.

The KMP includes more than 200 USAID-developed training modules, reports, tip sheets, and guidelines on topics ranging from governance and leadership to financial management and disaster management, and not ending with digital media and environmental planning. To ensure the sustainability, availability, and accessibility of the KMP training material and resources, CSP signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Notre Dame University (NDU) allowing transferring the web hosting from the CSP website to the Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) E-library. On August 9, 2024, NDU began the process of uploading these resources to its E-library, making them freely accessible to the public.

“The USAID-approved training materials that are being currently transferred to NDU E-library are an opportunity for the university to share knowledge with the Lebanese municipalities, NGOs, NDU students and teachers, and the public. The materials that were developed by experts and specialists are valuable resources for NDU lifelong learning center and will help design new curricula and certifications to interested municipalities and NGOs,” said Dr. Dany Azzi, Director of the Lifelong Learning Center (LLC) at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), and municipal member of Okaibe Municipality in Kesserwan.
